The Government of Tuzla Canton will support the organization of the Berry Fruit Fair, which will be held on May 20 and 21 in Čelić after a 12-year break.
The Government of Tuzla Canton and line ministries will support the organization of the Berry Fruit Fair, which will be held on May 20 and 21 in Čelić after a 12-year break this year – it was agreed at today’s meeting of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Tuzla Canton Emir Begić, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Traffic of Tuzla Canton Mustafa Sakic and Mayor Admir Hrustanovic.
At the suggestion of the relevant ministry, the Berry Fruit Fair is already included in the Program of Events of Interest to Tuzla Canton, said Minister Begić, emphasizing that the meeting was used to find solutions to key problems of farmers in the Celic Municipality.
One of them, it was said, is the problem of water supply, the solution of which is possible through a public call and funds from water fees, said Minister Begic.
“Certainly, we as a ministry will support such projects, because in that way we solve the problem of water supply and help agricultural production. As for investments in greenhouse production, the Ministry will support the purchase of greenhouses and high tunnels through its programs in order to expand the production of the Celic Municipality,” said the Minister, noting that it is necessary to monitor projects in a timely manner.
The Minister of Trade, Tourism and Transport, Mustafa Sakic, was also pleased to see the return of the Berry Fruit Fair, inspecting what had already been agreed in the previous year in the Celic Municipality.
“When it comes to traffic infrastructure, local roads, this year the Celic Municipality can expect more significant funds than it had so far,” said Minister Sakic after presenting programs that the Ministry will implement this year.
Mayor Hrustanovic is convinced that Celic can respond to the demands when it comes to agricultural and tourist potentials, he is pleased with the full support for the organization of the upcoming fair, but also with the possibilities for significant expansion of greenhouse production.
“We have agreed that the incentive funds will continue to be the same for the Cantonal Ministry of Agriculture and we hope that, after the budget revision, the Ministry of Agriculture together with the Celic Municipality will co-finance a part of mineral fertilizers to our agricultural producers,” said Hrustanovic.
