INFOHOUSE Foundation and the Association of Citizens “Budućnost” within the project “Economic and social opportunities for independence of women victims of domestic violence”, which is financially supported by the European Union, invite successful women and men from the business community to join our activities of economic empowerment of women victims of domestic violence, and become active participants in the mentoring program “BUSINESS ANGELS.”
Mentor support, so-called Business Angels, women victims of violence, winners of financial support for starting a business, is exclusively on a volunteer basis and is based on the exchange of experiences, advice and positive practices for developing and maintaining small businesses on the market. Locations where small businesses will be developed are: Banja Luka, Bihać, Bijeljina, Cazin, Modriča and Sarajevo.
Within this project, 18 business ideas will be financed in the total amount of almost 100,000 BAM! Grant beneficiaries will produce didactic wooden toys, gluten-free sweets, herbal products, start cleaning service for elderly, produce honey, eggs, strawberries, seedlings and even candles, and offer accommodation, sewing services, washing and car cleaning services.
Economic violence often accompanies psychological and physical violence against women. Therefore, the support of successful entrepreneurs to grant beneficiaries is extremely important for their self-confidence and successful running of their businesses. Economic independence is crucial for a successful fight to break the cycle of violence.
Applications for participation within the Business Angels mentoring program are open until the end of November 2021. Please submit your applications via e-mail adin@infohouse.ba. If you have any questions, please contact us by phone 033 200 538 or by email adin@infohouse.ba.
