The Tuzla Community Foundation, within the project “Democratic and Economic Empowerment of Underdeveloped Communities in Tuzla Canton” funded by the Ministry of Economic Development and Foreign Policy of the Federal Republic of Germany, is organizing a two-day training on “Advocacy, Lobbying and Fundraising Campaigns” for interested citizens, representatives of civil society organizations as well as representatives of local communities from the City of Tuzla, the City of Srebrenik, the City of Živinice, the Municipality of Kalesija and the Municipality of Lukavac, who want to improve their knowledge in this area.
Civil society organizations and other public institutions and informal groups of citizens who fight to improve the position and rights of citizens, especially their beneficiaries, are constantly faced with various barriers, often the lack of will of the authorities or financial resources to solve their problems. Therefore, it is crucial that members of these organizations and institutions receive additional education in the field of advocacy, lobbying and fundraising campaign management in order to increase the chances for improving the position of their beneficiaries, sustainability of their socially useful projects and the survival of their organizations and institutions.
Training participants will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge about:
– basic methods and tools used in advocacy and fundraising campaigns,
– how to identify stakeholders in advocacy campaigns,
– the method of choosing strategic approaches,
– method of creating messages and identification of communication channels,
– creating a fundraising plan through diversification of funding sources, with an emphasis on fundraising through an online crowdfunding platform.
The training will be held on September 29 and 30, 2021 in Tuzla, in the period from 09:00 to 16:00 hrs in the premises of the Social Center Kiseljak. Those interested can apply HERE, no later than September 20, 2021.
The number of places is limited. The Tuzla Community Foundation reserves the right to select candidates in case of greater interest, of which all interested candidates will be notified in a timely manner. Preference is given to interested candidates who come from the member communities of the Network of Active Communities.
