Bosnia and Herzegovina: “Golden September”, the month of raising awareness about childhood cancer, began with the lighting of buildings and landmarks

The goal of the Association “Heart for Children with Cancer” is to raise awareness of all aspects of the fight against childhood cancer, both during the period of stay in the hospital and the period of return to the home environment after treatment.

As part of the celebration of “Golden September”, the month of raising awareness about cancer in children, organized by the “Heart for Children with Cancer” Association, the buildings of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Friendship Building between Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be illuminated tonight, reports Anadolu.

The commemoration of “Golden September” began with the traditional lighting of important buildings and landmarks in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Association previously announced that the National Museum, the Building of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Stari Most in Mostar, the Building of the Cantonal Chamber of Commerce in Tuzla, would be illuminated in Sarajevo. and the Cantonal and University Library and the Bell Tower of the Church of St. Ante in Bihać.

The goal of the Association during “Golden September” is to raise awareness of all aspects of the fight against childhood cancer, both during the period of stay in the hospital and the period of return to the home environment after treatment.

During September in Sarajevo, Tuzla, Mostar, Zenica and Bihać, the Association will offer fellow citizens protective masks, badges and promotional material for the purpose of raising awareness about childhood cancer.

The “Sparkasse Bank Golden Circle” race is scheduled for September 15 in Visoko. The ambassador of the race is Amra Dzeko, humanitarian and friend of children with cancer, and the goal of the race/walk is to raise money for children with cancer, through the sale of T-shirts for participation in the race. The event is organized by the Association “Heart for Children with Cancer” in co-organization with the “Centre for Culture, Sports and Information” Visoko and the City of Visoko.
