Be ROUTE WB6 volunteer this fall!

After an exciting summer and testing of the ROUTE WB6 MINI scheme in which over 100 young volunteers from the Western Balkans volunteered at various festivals, cultural and sporting events in the region, an even more exciting autumn follows that we have reserved for the ROUTE WB6 MAXI scheme.

This autumn, young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina have the opportunity to apply for volunteering within ROUTE WB6 MAXI and spend up to 2 months in one of the partner organizations from Albania, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia or Serbia. Partner organizations from the region that receive volunteers under the ROUTE WB6 MAXI scheme have significant experience in working with volunteers and implementing volunteer programs, which gives young people the opportunity to learn, individual growth and skills development, all through activities created and focused on general good.

Activities in which volunteers are involved are planned and organized so as to enable volunteers to get to know and interact with the local community, which contributes to intercultural learning.

The Institute for Youth Development KULT invites young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina aged 18 to 30, who want to use their free time this fall by supporting socially useful initiatives and organizations across the region while learning and improving their skills to apply by clicking HERE.

Apply and be a part of the regional cross-border volunteering program – ROUTE WB6, within which over a hundred young people from the Western Balkans volunteered in just a few months. You can see the experiences of young people who went through the program HERE.

All costs for selected volunteers (accommodation, food, travel expenses, insurance, testing on COVID-19) are covered by the project.

ROUTE WB6 is the first regional exchange program which was created and developed from the very beginning by young people for whom the program is intended. The program offers three options: ROUTE MINI, ROUTE MIDI and ROUTE MAXI.

ROUTE MINI provides the opportunity to volunteer at regional festivals and sporting events, lasting up to seven days. As part of ROUTE MIDI, volunteers will participate in community volunteer activities lasting up to two weeks, for example, volunteer camps. ROUTE MAXI provides an opportunity for young people to spend up to two months volunteering in some of the most prominent civil society organizations in the region.

The regional cross-border volunteering program – ROUTE WB6 was created within the project with the same title, which is implemented by the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation RYCO in cooperation with partner organizations from the Western Balkans, including the Institute for Youth Development KULT. The project is implemented with the support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
