Designers in Residence is an international scholarship from Pforzheim, Germany , which is intended for young designers from all possible fields — from jewelry and fashion to industrial and graphic design.
Three lucky winners will be able to work on their projects from April 1 to June 30, 2025 at the EMMA Creative Center, which is a real hub for creative people in Pforzheim. And that could be you!
If you want to apply, you must have completed your studies at a higher school or university. Also, you must not be older than 35 years old, or you can be 35 years old or older and have completed your studies no more than two years ago. Interdisciplinary projects are more than welcome, and you also need knowledge of German or English.
The scholarship allows you to use a fully equipped workshop and work space in the EMMA Creative Center in Pforzheim , with free accommodation for three months. You can also use the workshops at the University of Pforzheim. Finally, the results of your scholarship will be presented at an exhibition in the EMMA Creative Center.
Each fellow will receive EUR 1,000 per month for expenses, plus money for materials and travel expenses to and from home.
