We are pleased to announce the official presentation of the project “Strengthening local participation and cooperation through a partnership of public authorities and civil society organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina – LINK for cooperation” funded by the European Union, which will be held in Mostar, June 18, 2021 starting at 10:00 am at the MEPAS Hotel (Princess Hall).
The Local Democracy Agency (LDA) Mostar, with its partners: the Local Democracy Agency (LDA) Zavidovići, the Local Democracy Agency (LDA) Prijedor, the Center for the Development of Herzegovina (CRH) and the European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA), and the associated partner ALDA Skopje, to present the key activities of the project that promotes the principles of good and responsible management of local self-government units in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project includes the following cities and municipalities: Berkovići, Jablanica, Kostajnica, Maglaj, Mostar, Nevesinje, Novi Grad, Prijedor, Ravno, Trebinje, Zavidovići and Žepče as well as 40 local civil society organizations from these local communities.
The project aims to strengthen the capacity of local authorities (elected leaders and civil servants) and civil society organizations (CSOs) to implement participatory processes to jointly identify specific community problems and, thanks to this participatory approach, find the most optimal solutions to those problems.
