The Fund for Cultural and Artistic Creativity from Goražde “Kulturica” is the organizer of a five-day event called “Culture Week”, and a series of events are planned for the period until August 18.
The week of culture began with an art exhibition of paintings by three graphic design students from Sarajevo, Elma Nukić, Emina Numanović and Anja Sterga, whose works testify to the power of the artistic expressions of the three young artists.
“We decided to dedicate ourselves to this form of art and we contacted young artists from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo who came to meet us and gave us their works. They wanted to come to Goražde, but they were prevented for private reasons. They are graphic designers and the works of the two artists explore modernity with tradition, how things adapt and change and how much that traditional identity should and remains in us. The works of the third artist are more based on what is inside us and how much we as people change as we grow up”, explained the president of the Youth Council of the City of Goražda, Vildana Bašić.
“Culture Week” is the first event of its kind organized by the Fund for Cultural and Artistic Creativity “Kulturica”. In the following days, children’s workshops will be held along with the promotion of picture books, theater performances, film screenings and the like.
“This is the first activity of the Culture Week and we hope to raise awareness of the importance of such exhibitions and how important it is that they be visited, because this is also one of the ways to educate ourselves in this direction, so we started and end the Week with an exhibition “, Bašić said.
