There is significant potential for the development of joint projects between wood clusters and related associations from BiH and Croatia, especially in the field of innovation, sustainable production and application of new technologies, it was pointed out in Zagreb during the visit of the delegation of the Wood Cluster Association of BiH “Furniture and Wood” to the Embassy of BiH in the Republic Croatia.
At the meeting, the president of the association Dinko Mujkić and the ambassador of BiH in Zagreb Elma Kovačević Bajtal and their colleagues emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of innovation in production processes, environmentally friendly production and the implementation of digital solutions that can improve the efficiency of the wood industry. Joint projects would focus on sustainable management of forest resources, forest protection and development of environmental standards for the timber industry.
– The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zagreb expressed its readiness to support all joint initiatives between wood clusters, associations and institutions of both countries. Special attention is paid to opportunities for applying to international projects that promote sustainability, innovation and green transition. It was agreed that the Embassy will actively participate in mediating between key institutions in BiH and Croatia in order to ensure support for these projects – said Feni Dinko Mujkić, president of the association Drvni kluster BiH, as reported by the Start BiH portal.
That meeting, he added, represents a significant step towards strengthening cooperation between wood clusters, similar associations and institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, and opens up opportunities for the realization of concrete joint projects that will contribute to the sustainable development of the wood industry and forestry in both countries.
After the meeting at the BiH Embassy, representatives of the Wood Cluster visited the “Ambienta 2024” fair , where they had meetings and held discussions with companies from Croatia.
