Opportunity description
The Mozaik Foundation startup studio invests in the business ideas of young people with the intention of supporting every young person on the path to their professional success. Startup studio offers partner investments of up to 40,000 BAM, support of the sales, legal, accounting and marketing team. The whole team is at your disposal, whether you are just developing a business idea or running an already registered business. We don’t care what industry you come from, we care that the business model is economically viable and extremely socially responsible. So far, we have provided support to 1,381 teams, invested in 170 prototypes and 210 social businesses, of which 88% are operating successfully even after the first year.
What will a partnership with Startup studio bring?

- Access to Mozaik Angel Investment Club for capital over 50,000 BAM
- Support in drafting and writing project proposals for grant funds
- Financial and mentoring support for prototype development, market research and business model validation.

Who can apply?
- Individuals who have an idea and need support to start a business in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Small and medium enterprises that need support for further growth and development of business, improvement of business processes, opening of new markets and sales channels, etc., which are registered on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Foreign citizens, if they want to establish a future company on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Who cannot apply?
If you plan to produce, sell or mediate in the sale of alcohol, tobacco and related products or to develop and sell cryptocurrencies, develop gambling and betting products or any other activity that does more harm than good to society and community, then we are not the right partner for you.
If you are thinking of opening a hair salon, catering facility or fast-food facility, farm or cooperative, follow the opportunities available in lonac for microbusinesses.
Conditions for application?
- You, as the owner of the business, are up to 35 years old or that one of the co-owners or co-owners of your business is between 18 and 35 years old.
- That you are ready or willing to enter into a partnership with the Startup Studio of the Mozaik Foundation, according to the agreed ownership shares in the business (whereby the Mozaik Foundation is always a minority owner).
- The business you run has a positive impact on the community.
- If you only have the idea and you are ready or willing to start a social business in the form of a limited liability company (d.o.o.)
- If you are already a registered business in the form of a trade or s.p. and a similar form of registration of a natural person, that you are ready to re-register in the d.o.o.
- If you are already a d.o.o. on the threshold of a new development phase, joint venture is the ideal business model for you.
Note: This is an opportunity for joint investment, which means that we are partners in business – together we establish a company or enter into co-ownership in an existing company. Our share is always a minority and can be from 1 to 49%, depending on many factors. We negotiate ownership shares, and we encourage you to suggest to us yourself % what you think is fair. We do not ask you to invest your money, but if you want to invest money, equipment or other means into the joint venture, you can do so; your share will therefore be higher. We expect you to devote enough time to the business and transfer the know-how on which the business model is based. After a joint venture, you retain autonomy in decision-making and running the business in accordance with good business practices.
