This music studio will be the first music studio in the Municipality of Stari Grad and the first free studio in the entire Balkan region.
Kaldrma studio from Sarajevo plans to open the first free music studio. It is a newly established association that aims to develop and popularize young musical talents in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The opening of Kaldrma studios is the cause of several elements of our environment, primarily because we know how difficult it is for young talents to raise money to record music, and that they do not have a specific place where they can get music education and counseling. We personally went through that situation in our youth, and for that reason Kaldrma studio will offer its services completely free of charge for all young people whose ambitions exceed their financial situation“, said representatives of the Kaldrma studio for Akta.
The first free music studio
This project will bring the first music studio in the Municipality of Stari Grad and the first free studio in the entire Balkan region.
The main purpose of the whole project is to enable young people to use their talent in a positive way.
“Our main goal is to get young people off the streets and direct them to creative activities, providing a place where they can be found in various audio and video aspects. The studio will also function as a place where young people can spend their time, relax, learn new things along the way and awaken their creative spirit. We will also try to stop young people from leaving the country due to the lack of conditions, and we will make sure that they can earn money from their art,” said the Kaldrma Association.
The music studio will be able to be used by all legal and natural persons. Songs recording and music education will be free for young people. In addition to services from all aspects of audio and video production, the studio will hold various types of presentations and workshops, in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the regional music scene.
“Kaldrma studio will be equipped with professional tools that cover all aspects of audio and video production, as well as a team that can implement any idea into reality. This means that they will be able to enter the studio only with good energy and motivation, and come out with a finished song and music video“, they explained.
Great interest of young people in music
What is also good news is that young people are very interested in making music as well as learning video production, so this project is a great opportunity for all those who want to enter the world of music.
“The very fact that we already have over fifty applications for participation, and we haven’t even opened yet, proves that claim. Our young talents are very ambitious and talented, they just lack the right direction and conditions that Kaldrma studio will provide them“, they emphasized.
They also added that the music market is not very ideal and that such projects are not given enough attention to the extent they should.
“Given that there is no studio at all where young people can work on their talent without monetary compensation, we believe that this is one big hole in our society that we plan to patch up in person. Music projects generally receive little support in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the whole country lags behind the rest of the world in terms of music education, which is shameful considering that a few decades ago we were the focus of music culture in Europe,” said Kaldrma studios.
We can expect the opening of the music studio and the realization of the entire project at the beginning of 2022.
“The renovation is in its final steps thanks to the support of the Municipality of Stari Grad, as well as the companies that have decided to support the project. There is a lot of work, effort, and investment in this project, so, we would like to invite all organizations interested in helping in the realization of the project“, said the representatives of the Kaldrma Association.
