These days, the Municipality of Konjic is implementing intensive activities on the refurbishment of Boračko Lake, so that this natural lake is ready to welcome guests in a new look. In this phase, preparatory and landscaping works are being carried out on the beach “Prenj”, so that activities on asphalting the road and sidewalks can start soon, as well as installation of curbs, then making and installing changing cabins, installation of standard showers, water supply and drainage, and reconstruction of a public toilet. The works are performed by the company “PBP”.
In addition to the beach “Prenj”, works should begin soon, which will contribute to the overall appearance of this attractive tourist destination and significantly improved conditions for all-day stay.
The Municipality of Konjic, in cooperation with the UNDP, plans to refurbish a promenade on the section Hotel “Borašnica” – the main beach, building of an artificial beach, renovate the old and install new additional urban furniture, benches and install modern urban-communal equipment, underground containers and waste bins.
During these activities, special attention will be paid to the information boards of Boračko Lake with a map, which will contain all necessary information about the lake, its natural values, flora and fauna and the surrounding environment, all with the aim to provide guests the necessary information as quickly and easily as possible, which will allow them to plan their stay.
The efforts of the Municipality of Konjic in this field are part of the tourism development strategy of the Municipality of Konjic, with the aim of creating better conditions for longer stays of domestic and foreign guests in the Municipality of Konjic, which is rich in cultural and historical values that attract tourists.
