On Friday, July 30, public company “Una National Park” and partners will organize a one-day rafting “Rafting/kayak regatta on Una, river of emotions and memories” on the route from Strbački Buk to Bihać.
“The idea arose due to the impossibility of organizing the traditional International Tourist Una – regatta, which is a very complex event from the organizational aspect. This year the conditions for its normal organization were not created, taking into account the epidemiological measures in force. The one-day sports and entertainment event will be organized with the aim of preserving tradition and culture, as well as emotions and memories of previous Una-regattas, hoping that next year it will be held in its full capacity and splendor,” said Emina Štrkljević from the Public Company Una National Park.
Numerous sports and entertainment events are provided for all participants during the one-day rafting, but also for the citizens of Bihać.
“Before the start of the rafting, there will be a skipper’s competition in jumping from the spectacular Štrbački buk waterfall. The event also includes traditional jumps from the City Bridge in Bihać, organized by the City Sports Association of Bihać, while the ABC Association also organizes a Blobbing competition on the Bihać city beach Beton. The entertainment part of the program will be provided by the Bosnian music star/singer Amel Ćurić, after the arrival of all participants on the City Island in Bihać“, added Štrkljević.
The organizers expect more than 500 participants in a one-day rafting, which will at least to some extent try to replace the 48th International Tourist Una – Regatta.
