On Friday, through a video presentation, the members of the working group were presented with the Draft Waste Management Plan with a feasibility study for environmentally friendly waste management and logistics for the city of Zvornik, which is part of the project Launching Environmental Financing for Low Carbon Urban Development (UrbanLED).

The city of Zvornik is one of the four local self-government units in the Republika Srpska that started the realization of this project. The plan is expected to be finalized in December this year, when a public hearing will be held.
The UrbanLED project is jointly implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the City of Zvornik and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency of Republika Srpska, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Physical Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology of Republika Srpska, Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, FBiH Environmental Protection Fund, which is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
