Youth gathering in Kiseljak: “How to spend your free time?”

On Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. on Prince Radoje Square in Kiseljak, a youth gathering with the slogan “How to spend your free time?”, organized by the Kiseljak Youth Local Initiative will be held. This gathering will draw the public’s attention to the need for a youth center or club in Kiseljak, where young people can study together, develop projects and spend their free time.

All citizens of Kiseljak are invited to socialize outdoors with social games/events and refreshments, primarily young people and their partners who want to work on the development of their local community.

The organizers of this gathering, Ajla, Nedžma, Vanesa and Eldar, said: “Our idea is to provide space for youth work in Kiseljak, which would mean paying more attention to young people in order to improve our community. We propose and firmly believe that such a safe space for youth and a space for their work would contribute to strengthening the capacity of young people. By having a space where youth can organize their work, we can guarantee an increase in the number and quality of activities, which will not be aimed only at young people, but at all members of our local community.”

Before the gathering, the representatives of the initiative “Kiseljak Youth Local Initiative” will meet with the Mayor of Kiseljak, Mr. Mladen Mišurić-Ramljak, with whom they will discuss this idea and the possibilities for its joint realization.

The initiative “Kiseljak Youth Local Initiative” is supported through the UPSHIFT program, implemented by the Humanitarian Organization “Genesis Project” in partnership with UNICEF in BiH, and with the support of the Kingdom of Sweden. eUPSHIFT aims to help young people to implement their ideas and make changes in their local communities.
