Stables “Vučijak” is the most promising business entity in the Prnjavor area

Stables “Vučijak” is the most promising business entity in the Municipality of Prnjavor. Although the situation in this team is stabilized, additional facilities should be designed to attract people to visit it, the joint assessment of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republika Srpska Boris Pašalić and Prnjavor’s mayor Darko Tomaš.

We are not satisfied with the design of additional facilities because it is not enough just to have food for horses and money for workers’ salaries, but it is necessary to provide income from tourist activities. Today, we agreed on how to help the management of the Stables“, says Pašalić, who talked with Tomaš about the Stables” Vučijak” and agricultural production in the Municipality of Prnjavor.

He told reporters that he expects other ministries to be involved in this project, primarily the Ministry of Trade and Tourism.

Pašalić points out that this is a very interesting entity which needs to implement certain projects.

We already have funds from the sale of the facility in the city, which was owned by the Stables, and we want to start working in the field by the fall. We would like to see concrete results during the year,” said Pašalić.

Speaking about the topic of agricultural land, he stated that, although the number of farms in Prnjavor is decreasing, there is no decline in production, which is an important fact, and that Prnjavor is still an important local community when it comes to agricultural production, especially milk production.

Pašalić reminded that last year, about 4,000,000 BAM of direct incentives were paid to agricultural producers by the Government of the Republika Srpska, i.e., the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, while a year earlier that amount was 3,500,000 BAM.

In one year, we had 500,000 BAM of growth, which speaks enough about the fact that production is growing, although we have a slight decline in the number of farms. That is normal, because those who can no longer engage in production are disappearing, those who remain are getting bigger, specializing, have higher yields, higher and better production,” Pašalić explained.

He stated that forestry, hunting and water management were also discussed at today’s meeting in Prnjavor, as well as that the relevant ministry is available to the mayor and all residents of this Municipality.

The mayor of the Municipality of Prnjavor, Darko Tomaš, said that the common wish was to make a step forward and get the contents that the public expects.

Our intention is to reconstruct the facilities and organize a riding school in the coming period. The Municipality of Prnjavor has undertaken the obligation to prepare reconstruction projects as soon as possible, which will be submitted to the competent ministry “, stated Tomaš.

Tomaš also mentioned that in the area of the Municipality of Prnjavor, there are another 1,300 hectares of agricultural land that is not adequately distributed to farmers, within the framework of a lease or concession.

A dispute has been initiated with former companies for that part of the land, a public exhibition procedure is underway, and the activities of the relevant ministry and the Municipality on the division of land to agricultural producers will depend on the dynamics of land registration in Republika Srpska by the Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs of Republika Srpska.” , said Tomaš.
