Since 2015, the Trag Foundation has been a local partner of the Oak Foundation in the implementation of the program Empowering Women’s Organizations and Movements for Combating Violence Against Women (original name of the Issues Affecting Women program) in the Western Balkans in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. This program supports women’s organizations, networks, and women’s funds in their strategic efforts to combat domestic and partner violence, human trafficking and exploitation, conflict violence, and the building of the women’s movement.
Trag Foundation in partnership with the Oak Foundation provides institutional support to 40 women’s organizations, networks and funds, as well as support in capacity building and networking.
The Oak and Trag Foundations seek to build on current strategic areas of support, through guidance and on the issue of psychological violence against women through:
- Provision of social services based on women’s rights,
- Impact on the legislative framework, policies and changes in social norms that contribute to a safer environment for women and children.
In order to better design the support within the program, as well as the capacity building strategy within the specific context of the three countries in the field of psychological violence, we are looking for a research team to work on the project Regional Research on Psychological Violence: Experiences, Capacities and Systemic Response.
We invite researchers, research teams, and organizations to propose practical research on the systemic, experiential, and organizational factors of psychological violence in order to support organizations and victims to build collective power and influence.
