Important reminder: April 19 is the deadline for the adoption of a general act for the procedure of protection against harassment at workplace

According to the Law on Protection from Harassment at Workplace, this obligation applies to all employers in the Republika Srpska who employ 15 or more workers. The expert team of the Union of Employers’ Associations of Republika Srpska, in order to facilitate the application of the Law on Protection from Harassment at Workplace (“Official Gazette of Republika Srpska”, No. 90/21) for employers, prepared a Template Rulebook on protection from harassment at workplace.

The obligation for employers who employ 15 or more workers to pass a general act prescribing the procedure for protection against harassment at work arises from Article 15, paragraphs 4 and 5 of the said Law. The mentioned employers are obliged to pass such a general act within six months from the entry into force of the Law on Protection from Harassment at Workplace. The Law in question was published in the “Official Gazette of RS” October 11, 2021, and entered into force on the eighth day from the date of publication.

The template of the Ordinance on protection against harassment at workplace can be downloaded HERE (version February 15, 2022). The text of this document can be adapted by each employer, respecting the provisions of relevant regulations.
