Online group psychological support program “How are you, but really how are you?” implemented by the Network for Building Peace in cooperation with Mrs. Amela Puljek-Shank.

Title: Support groups, “How are you, but really how are you?”

Description: The Network for Building Peace will organize six support groups with the aim of supporting and empowering the members of the Network in their daily life and work. Today we witness an abundance of stress. We want to create, at least for a moment, a safe place and environment in which our members could share difficulties and challenges, but also find support and empowerment.

Support groups’ leader: The support groups will be led by Amela Puljek-Shank, MSc in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia, USA. Fields of work: trauma, identities and narratives, peace building, conflict transformation, supervision, self-care, support groups, currently a student in gestalt therapy under supervision.

Dates and topics:

03 September, 2021 – COVID-19 is our reality? How to live with this reality every day? from 1pm to 2pm

06 September, 2021 – Choice of profession – what, how, where, etc., from 1 pm to 2 pm

September 07, 2021 – Coping with an illness, from 1 pm to 2 pm

September 08, 2021 – Caring for your loved ones and taking care of yourself, from 1 pm to 2 pm

September 22, 2021 – Financial uncertainty, from 2 pm to 3 pm

September 27, 2021 – Burnout at work, from 1 pm to 2 pm

Support groups will be held through the Zoom platform. Participants can choose to be anonymous on the Zoom (change the name and not use the video), if they want to maintain their anonymity. We understand that it is not easy to share your problems with a group of people you meet for the first time and thus all participants have the possibility of anonymity during the workshops.
